Thank You to Sukhi from Sukhi’s House of Flowers for sharing this blog with us on the latest trends in flowers for 2014.
From elaborate to simple weddings, flowers are just the perfect finishing touch for every wedding. “Brides are getting more
adventurous with their choice of wedding day flowers and décor – creating that wow factor is really important to couples now” says
Essential Couture. We will be seeing some large statement pieces as center pieces, along with some unique arrangements using more of the
natural wood, birch and lots of twigs to create a natural feeling. Different size vases grouped together with monotone flowers will be the alternative to the one traditional arrangement.
Lighting can be used to make the flowers look extra special for evening events, remote controlled lights can be inserted right into the arrangements for dramatic effects. Pastel colors are very popular right now, this trend continuing on from 2013, is great for all themes especially for vintage themed weddings. Brides are stepping away from traditional dome style bouquets and creating more personalized and unique bouquets; using
fuller blooms such as peonies, hydrangeas and garden roses to make the bouquets larger and more grand. Succulents are also becoming very popular for bridal bouquets creating a unusual look.
A trend that was strong in 2013 and will continue well into 2014 is bouquets with the
jewels. This creates not only an elegant and different type of bouquet but a very personalized piece with brides using jewellery that means something to them.
2014 is a year of glamourours and very grand floral arrangements and bouquets. The feel of the arrangement is going to be a very natural look which will give it that earthy tone. Good Luck and have a wonderful time choosing your floral arrangements and bridal bouquet!
